About the Role: Intern / Junior Student Counsellor
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or final-year students to gain hands-on experience in student counselling, client communication, and overseas admissions support. You’ll work closely with our senior counsellors to assist students, respond to inquiries, and manage day-to-day communication.
This is a full-time role based in Colombo, with the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement., ideal for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the education consultancy field.
What We’re Looking For
- Fresh graduates or undergraduates (any discipline – training provided)
- A warm, confident, and professional phone manner is essential
- Excellent communication skills in Sinhala and English
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Polite, friendly, and comfortable interacting with students and parents
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and follow up on student inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, email, and in person
- Assist with student profiling and application documentation
- Support counsellors in preparing visa files and maintaining student records
- Maintain clear, courteous, and professional communication at all times
- Learn and follow internal procedures and country-specific guidelines
You’ll Stand Out If You Have
- Previous customer service or call handling experience
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A genuine interest in international education
- Great phone etiquette and active listening skills
